Aerodynamic comfortAir protection The entire front section is now more prominent, for greater air protection. The new deflectors help generate an elongated air bubble that can limit turbulence for the rider and particularly for the passenger. Thermal comfortThermal comfort The wings that carry fresh air to the rider’s legs can be closed to reduce air flow in cold weather and minimize splash on rainy days. Deactivation of the rear bank that acts to turn off the rear cylinders is now also extended to low-speed travel, when engine speed and the accelerator’s demand for torque are contained. This reduces consumption, emissions, and the heat transmitted to rider and passenger.
